Clean your nesting box!

Birds’ nests often attract lice and other parasites that will hibernate in the nest. This may irritate the bird during next year’s breeding.

We recommend removing the bird’s nest in October. Use boiling water to kill off any remaining parasites and never use insecticides in the nesting box as it is often harmful to the bird.

It is also important to keep an adequate hygiene level at the bird table to avoid any diseases spreading among birds.
